As instructed by the Spirit of the Living God, we disseminate spiritual understanding to our hearers in atomic accuracy.

We Deliver

For as many that call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. This believe has been a back-bone in our ministrations.

OUR FAITH STATEMENT (WHAT WE BELIEVE)

At Faith Fire Christian Church, we base all of our beliefs on the authority of Scripture. In every way, we strive to maintain biblical standards of living and leadership. We believe that living life according to God’s Word is the way to an abundant, fulfilling life. WE BELIEVE:

In Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Way to God. He is His Son, fully human and fully Divine. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross, shed His blood for our sins, and rose again on the third day. Out of His great love for us, Jesus Christ died so that each one of us might have a personal relationship with God the Father. If we believe in Him, we are saved!

“Jesus explained, ‘I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too.’” JOHN 14:6 TPT

In the Father

Our Father just happens to be God, the Creator of the universe. And some very good news is: He is not mad at us; He is madly in love with us. Out of His great love for us, He was willing to

sacrifice His beloved Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we can be reconciled with Him and adopted into His family as His very own children.

“For this how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” JOHN 3:16 TPT

In The Holy Spirit

Jesus said He had to leave the earth so that the Holy Spirit could come in and be with us. If you believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit is your God-guide, your Comforter, your Counselor, and anything else you need. The fruit of His work in our lives is evidenced

by growing amounts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control as we grow in Him.

“And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you.” JOHN 14:16-17 TPT

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of the world and is actively involved in humanity. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit is continuing the work of Jesus upon the earth.

“Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” MATTHEW 28:19 TPT

The Bible

The Bible is God’s written word to humankind. God breathed, and the Holy Spirit inspired men to write the Bible. That is why we believe it is the Truth and does not contain errors. It is as relevant today as it has ever been to help us live our best lives, and it is alive!

“Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.” 2 TIMOTHY 3:16 TPT

Relationship with God

We believe that every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and being conformed to the image of Christ.

“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but

I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us on onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” PHILIPPIANS 3:12-13 MSG

Salvation

We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sin. We believe that salvation is only found by placing our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

“Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.”

ROMANS 5:1 TPT

“But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! And there is still so much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful

declaration, ‘You are now righteous in my sight.’ And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.” ROMANS 5:8-9 TPT

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” 1 PETER 3:21 NLT

Communion

We believe in regularly receiving Communion as an act of remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us through dying on the cross.

“…The Master, Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread. Having given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, broken for you. Do this to remember me.’ After supper,

he did the same thing with the cup: ‘This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me.’” 1 CORINTHIANS 11:24-26 MSG

CORE VALUES

We have a few core values here at Faith Fire Christian Church, and these values are the things we want to commit to as a church. These core values are from the life of Jesus and allow us to live in a way that honors God, and that is why we believe they are so important to imitate. We commit to:

A growing relationship with God

Rather than a commitment to religion, we should each be personally and continually developing our relationship with God.

Being planted in the house

This simply means, at a minimum, attending services at Faith Fire Christian Church on a weekly basis and tithing to this church. It can also mean volunteering your time in a ministry or various ministries. Flourishing faith is connected to consistent attendance and faithfulness to church.

Excellence

All of our work matters, regardless if the work is noticed or not, or whether it’s large or small tasks. We believe everything we do should be done in excellence unto God. As a church, we commit to executing excellence, having great work habits, being on time, reliable, professional, ever learning, and consistently improving our minds, our spirits, and our health and wellness.

Character and integrity

Simply put: do the right thing. When people are watching and when they are not, we strive to shrink the gap between our words and our deeds.

Generosity

It is better to give and live generously. We believe in giving our time, talents, and treasure to serve those around us. This is a lifestyle we choose, and we believe it’s a byproduct of true spiritual growth. The world of the generous grows larger and larger.

Diversity

We are proud of our diversity at Faith Fire Christian Church. We are multi- generational and multi-ethnic/racial church. There is great strength in our diversity, and we will continue to celebrate it and be intentional about cultivating it.

Honor

We will be a church that honors one another: those above, beside, and below us. We will honor government and city officials, first responders, and God-appointed leadership. We will always attempt to honor when we have the opportunity.

Unqualified kindness

Unqualified kindness looks like respect, forgiveness, making room for each other’s faults, preferring others over ourselves, and giving each other grace.

Unity

We want to proactively be working toward ever increasing unity; a unity so visible and so attractive that others will see God at work in the middle of us.

Healthy Relationships

We commit to healthy relationships. We desire to honor God in all of our relationships including but not limited to marriage, singleness, family and more.

We want the members of Faith Fire Christian Church to have STRONG MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES—to have GODLY AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.

WHAT IS SALVATION?

Salvation is deliverance from the consequences of sin. Sin separates us from God and incurs his wrath, but anyone who’s made peace with Him shouldn’t fear death. If you’re saved don’t fear Satan’s clutches. A relationship with Jesus gives you the path to everlasting life! If you’ve turned from sin and follow Jesus you can rest easy! Heaven is waiting for you when you leave this world.

John 3:16, Acts 4:12

WATER BAPTISM

1. Baptism marks the entrance into the Christian family

A new believer in Christ needs a spiritual family, a family of the faith in Jesus. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, and we need each other to grow in this faith. Being baptized marks a beginning of a journey of faith together with the family of Christian believers. Baptism seals the Christian union of brotherly love in service to God. Paul named baptism as one of the things that unify a body of Christian believers: Ephesians 4:4

2. Baptism is a public confession of faith

The nature of baptism is that of a public act. When a new believer is baptized, he or she is giving a public testimony of his or her faith in Jesus as others are witnessing this public identification with Christ and the Christian church. Jesus taught his disciples the importance of living the faith in public as well as in private. Jesus challenged his disciples to confess their faith before others and to walk before others as his disciples (Matthew 10: 32-3; 16: 13-17, 24). Baptism presents an opportunity to the new believer to confess before others that Jesus is Lord and Savior.

COMMUNION

The holy communion is an important way to understand and continue to acknowledge Christ’s act. This sacrifice is the basis of the Christian worldview and should not be downplayed. The Lord’s supper signifies the New Covenant with Jesus Christ being the sacrificial lamb for humanity (1 Corinthians 5:7).

4. His work: (a) Power – Acts 1:8, (b) Joy – Isaiah 61:3, (c) The love of God – Matthew 22:37-40, (d) Prayer ability – Romans 8:26
